It is with great sadness that we must record the death of a wonderful friend and supporter of the charity. Sue’s interest in spinal cord injury was heartfelt and profound, as her late husband David who died in 2004, broke his back in a diving accident just before they were married. It did not stop them having a very long and happy marriage for many years in London and later, settled in their beloved ‘Pavilion’ in East Wiltshire. Sue had enduring, or as she called them ‘tiresome’ health issues and as she said on more than one occasion, ‘It’s time to go.’ We will miss her impish sense of fun and loyal, stoic support to a cause, which along with her horse racing, she believed in so passionately. God bless you Sue and may you rest in peace.
